Gifu, Taraimaan. When I got to the country, the modernized station didn’t match the green forest and clear river nearby.
But that’s the best part.
It’s new, but there’s a nostalgia to it.
I went home, ate my Mother’s miso katsu cutlets and went to the hot springs.
I started with the footbath, and then I got butt naked and lounged luxuriously in the almost empty Jacuzzi, and occupied every type of bath!
The last one I went in was the outdoor tub. From the high walled tub, so many stars shone there in the circle of the sky, it was like my own private planetarium.
I’m home.
My skin is silky smooth, my chill is gone, and my hair is shiny.

It’s so very lovely.
I feel like a real woman.
My summer vacation is off to an amazing start.
I love the hot springs.
I love how people’s voices bounce off the stone walls and come echoing back.
I love looking at my bath-warmed body in the big mirror, I like to wrap myself in a towel and dry my hair while I pretend to be sexy.
I love getting on the scale after I get out.

I love my mother’s gentle voice mixing with the sound of the water, floating over from next door.
I didn’t drink any alcohol, but on my first day back, I was drunk of happiness,
I had ice cream with my grandmother.
I had meat and potatoes and pumpkin with my grandmother.
I compared my hand to my grandfather’s hand.
We all laughed as my grandfather laughed about cockroaches.
I’m scared of cockroaches, but I don’t hate cockroaches because they make my grandfather laugh.
But bugs are still scary.
I hope I don’t see any centipedes tomorrow either.
Be Happy.
Today’s another great day.
BYE-CHIっ.
